Figma UX and UI of the platform + Design System
Description
This platform was a major challenge for me in 2024. Entering the complex world of DNA testing is not an everyday task. Specifically, this platform serves as a support tool for doctors, allowing them to request tests, have patients complete medical histories, manage patient records, and consult test results.
The two most important pillars in building this platform were:
Making information easily accessible to doctors through a fluid, non-labyrinthine, and essential UX.
Avoiding any incorrect information about tests, as every error could have serious medical consequences.
Every element was designed to be unambiguous, with frequent consultations with the client to ensure clarity.
For the UI, I followed the brand guidelines provided, which I found to be well crafted, combining two distinct typefaces to add dynamism to the platform. Additionally, by leveraging UI elements effectively, every section—especially those with multiple steps—becomes easy to read and interpret.
The design system for this platform is one of the most complete I’ve ever created, resulting in a library of fully detailed components that developers can easily understand and implement.
And that’s not all. I also had the pleasure of working on the patient reports, more than a dozen different files featuring information, charts, and other graphical elements.
